Marietta opened up scoring in the second inning. The Spartans pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth when Jacori McGee doubled on a 2-1 count scoring one, a Marietta error scored another, and the Spartans’ Senior catcher, Rambo Fultz singled in two runs on a 3-2 count. Senior Captain Garrett DeHart tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Senior John Anagnostis singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Junior Ryan Gold started the game for the Royal and Silver. He surrendered one run on two hits over three innings, striking out five. Senior Ethan Fuller took the win for Spartans. The ace allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking zero.

The Spartans totaled nine hits. Junior Jacoree McGee, Anagnostis, Gold, and DeHart each managed two hits to lead the Silver and Royal at the plate.
