The Spartan JV snatched the lead late in the game in a 7-5 victory over Whitefield Academy on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with the Spartans batting in the bottom of the sixth when Freshman Benjamin Homansky singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Campbell Spartans JV scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a walk by Boomer Dunn, a groundout by Milo Kennedy who led the Spartans with two hits in three at bats, and a fielder’s choice by Nathan Taylor.

Matthew Prather was on the mound for the Spartans JV. The pitcher surrendered two runs on one hit over one inning, striking out one.
